"Quothe the Raven, 'Nevermore.'" This famous quote from Edgar Allan Poe's classic poem, The Raven, is superimposed on a vintage dictionary page along with a vintage image of a raven.
Our dictionary art prints are made from real dictionary pages and are sure to add a bit of whimsy, fun, and unique vintage cool to your home, office, dorm room, RV, or anywhere!
SIZE and FRAMING
The pages are approximately 8x11. They are UNFRAMED. We recommend that you use an 11x14 inch frame that has an 8x10 cutout for the best results. If you choose an 8x10 inch frame, you may have to trim the page slightly to make it fit, but that can definitely work.
If you are looking for a unique birthday gift, Christmas gift, anniversary gift, Mother's Day gift, Father's Day gift, teacher appreciation gift, graduation gift, or Valentine's Day gift, our prints are a great choice!
We print our dictionary prints from our own studio right in the USA. The prints are placed in a clear plastic sleeve with a thick piece of cardboard for protection. The dictionaries we use are between 30 and 100 years old.
Each print is printed on a random page. We don't select specific pages to match the theme of the print because we would have to throw away a lot of unusable pages if we did that. We try to throw out pages that might have offensive words on them, but if you receive a page that is concerning, please let us know and we will work it out!
Great print! As described!
I framed this myself and it looks GREAT! Lovely quality.
Bought this as a gift for my sister’s library...she loved it and so did I.
This is really pretty cool! I love how vintage and 'old' it looks!
Doesn’t come with frame
A beautiful piece of artwork. Exactly what I was looking for.
I am really pleased with this dictionary print. I contacted the seller prior to ordering and they told me each print is made on a completely unique page from the dictionary. I was interested in ordering a few and wanted to make sure they weren't mass produced and printed with the same dictionary page. My "Edgar Allan Poe" print just happened to be printed on a page with letter "T" words. The color of the dictionary paper is not pure white, more like a linen color which gives it a very antique look. It looks great on the wall in my study/ family room. I chose to put the print in an 11 x17 frame with burgundy matting to fit an 8 x 10" opening. (note: in the pictures my matting is slightly smaller measuring 7.5" x 9.5" so the top line of my dictionary print is covered a little) Personally, I love the way the print looks with matting but it also would look great by itself and fit in just an 8x10 frame. The dictionary print came packaged with cardboard behind it and inside of a sealed plastic bag. When I took it out I realized it truly is an actual page from an old dictionary, it's very thin paper so becareful when you open it. I like the idea that this print has a history of its own and was made from something unique and old. Overall I am very pleased, it makes a great addition to my home.
